This is how it all started…
Bobcat Journal is the official student newspaper of Celina High School. It started when Mrs. Porter, the former Journalism teacher, moved to Fort Worth at the end of the 2024-2025 school year, passing down the Celina High School newspaper to me, Kirsten. Over the summer, Mrs. Reeves and I got to work on building a newspaper that would do justice to the students and faculty of Celina. In October, the Journalism class received a grant from Celina Education Foundation to start an official online newspaper.
The staff writers at Bobcat Journal work hard to uncover stories from all different areas of the school. We interview all – from athletes to artists, from students to administrators. Our goal is to inform, entertain, and inspire through telling the many unique and compelling stories within the Celina High School community.
